Testimonials
CREMONA PARK, 1260 Whanregarwen Rd Molesworth, Vic.
Dear Ian and Vera,
Having sold the balance of our 2008 calves at Yea on Thursday 15th I can now give you a complete report on the performance of our Riga progeny. As you know we have been using Riga Bulls now for a number of years and this has been integral to developing our brand name and reputation as a breeder of high quality Black Angus calves.
In 2008 at the Alexandra P&A our 2008 steers sired by Riga Theo (A90) won first place, heifers sired by Riga Equator (Z23) won third place for commercial calves 290kg and above. At the Yea Sale on Thursday 5th January 2009 our top pen of steers brought $725.00 and our seconds $715.00. One of the great advantages of using Riga for us has been the ability to produce consistent quality calves and this was indicated in our selling average at the sales.
From a handling point, Riga Bulls have proven to be easy to handle, perform consistently well and are structurally sound. Couple this with terrific bloodlines and breeding and we could not be happier with the overall performance of Riga Bulls.
We will be back again this year to purchase another Riga Bull to add to our stock for the 2009 joining season and look forward to continuing our relationship into the future.
Brad Watts | Manager, Cremona Park.

Dear Ian and Vera,
As you would well know the spring in 08 was far from desirable,so unfortunately we had to sell our 6yr.old cows and young calves in November, these made $1185,which showed to us that frame and growth are important!
We normally sell our steers to A.M.Holdings[now Swifts]who have been very happy with the structure and performance of the cattle. Lack of winter feed forced us to sell them at Yea on Friday June13th 08 at 8/9 months of age.The calves topped the young cattle section for the sale at $665 av.$631,a very pleasing result.
We do not pamper our young bulls,we expect our 18month old bulls to serve at least 40 cows.[one bull, Y49 had sired 102 calves by the time he was 2yr.old] . We have found your bulls are presented in excellent condition for active service which is very important for a fertile herd.We only had 3 cows scanned empty from 198 in 7 weeks joining.
The greatest asset of buying bulls from you is your recording and knowledge of the genetics of all the bulls we have purchased and your interest in the progeny produced. This knowledge and advice is invaluable to us when selecting bulls as you only show us bulls of a temperament and genetics that will improve our herd.
We hope the season in 09 will be better so we can increase our numbers and be back to buying bulls again!
Bill, Sue and Sam Parsons
