Welcome to Riga Angus Stud
Over the last 40 years the belief that “profitability lies in the performance and efficiency of the cow herd” has remained integral to the operation.
Riga Angus Stud is a family owned business run on “Nillahcootie Park” situated 10km North West of
Mansfield on the Midland Hwy. The stud is owned and operated by Vera and Ian Finger and their 2 children Kate and Tim.
The stud comprises of 200 registered (HBR & APR) mature females run on a combination of natural and improved pastures on grey sandy loam soils. The Broken River runs through “Nillahcootie Park” which has an annual rain fall of 700mm with a past 5 year average of 350mm.
Riga was established in 1972 and continues to produce bulls that suit a variety of markets from grass fed to export B3 feedlot. Bulls are available throughout the year by appointment.
